Johanna Jacobi is an actor, voice artist, theatre maker and movement artist who works in dramatic, as well as post-dramatic and devised contexts. With a background in dance, singing and acting, she trained at Rose Bruford College in London and Bratislava Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) as an actor and theatre maker. After graduating in 2021 she lived and worked in the UK and Germany as an actor, voice artist, facilitator, and directing assistant. During the seasons of 23/24 and 24/25 she was on tour across Germany and Switzerland with the comedy Und wenn wir alle zusammenziehen?, an a.gon theatre production, in 2025/26 and the coming season she is on tour with Im Westen Nichts Neues. As a lover of literature she enjoys contributing regularly to the audiobook catalogue of the Bayerische Hörbücherei.
As a theatre artist Johanna is particularly curious about the theatre as a space for collective home coming to body, mind and soul in an increasingly restless and digitalised world. She feels enlivened by the power of the live arts to enchant and confront, and the sharp vision of film in illustrating our relationships to each other and the natural world.
